It was so gratifying to me to see a bunch of teenagers—especially teenage BOYS—huddled around the kitchen island, working together as a team, busily preparing a nutritious meal. We tend to pass culinary skills down to our daughters more readily than we do our sons, so I was happy to see some boys in attendance. Kids love to get involved in the kitchen.
My 8 year old daughter dons her pink chef apron and hat, steps onto her little stool and eagerly awaits instructions, whisk in one hand, mini purple spatula in the other.
It’s beyond cute!
