NEW:  Kids After School Cooking Program

It is essential to establish good eating habits at a young age.  If it were up to me, cooking and gardening classes would be a standard part of every school’s curriculum.  I’ll keep lobbying for that, but in the meantime, send your children over to my place after school this fall.  They will get to prepare their own after school snacks and smoothies in a hands-on, health supportive environment where they will be learning about proper nutrition as they actively prepare their own recipes.  You won’t find any sugar or white flour here…all recipes are made with natural, organic ingredients, local whenever possible.  We make smoothies and juices, all kinds of cobblers, tarts and pies, as well as muffins, breads and fruit salads.  Many of the recipes are raw, a few are cooked, and all are vegetarian or vegan.   Introducing kids to healthy food via snacks and desserts is a great way to open their minds to the fact that nutritious food tastes good.  Classes are small, so reserve your spot early.

$250 for 10 week series (savings of $50)  OR  $30 per class

NEW:  Lunch and Learn Series

Most of the women I know want to add healthier recipes to their repertoire, but lack the time or motivation to peruse through stacks of cookbooks.  Let me do the work for you.  Now that the kids are back in school, take a break from all the craziness and make an investment in your health.  Come socialize with like-minded friends at a luncheon where you will learn how to prepare nutritious vegetarian and vegan dishes that are simple enough for the busiest of people to prepare even on a weeknight schedule.  Classes are small and hands-on, so reserve early!

Healthy Lifestyle Makeover

Want to give yourself a jumpstart into a healthier lifestyle?  After we clear our minds and ready our bodies with a private one hour yoga class (this class can be tailored to an absolute beginner or a seasoned yogi), we will move into the kitchen.  First we will re-vamp the pantry and refrigerator, removing items that don’t belong in a health supportive environment and making room for your new best friends.  We will then take a trip to the grocery or health food store to re-stock important pantry items as well as purchase the ingredients for the recipes we will be preparing together.  After shopping and unloading, we will prepare 2-3 recipes together and I will leave you with a printed meal plan for the entire week as well as the confidence and knowledge you will need to put it all together.

Dates: Weekdays based upon availability;  approximately 4-5 hours  Price: $450

Private Cooking Classes
